'Reach out' is a good one sven. Only experienced it when I started working at Barclays Bank a few years back. someone said to me 'you need to reach out to so and so', for a second I did not know what she meant. Just say 'you need to contact/speak to/call said person instead. People there used lots of Amercianisms, 'we need to make sure everyone is plugged in' for example. Ridiculous.

The correct term is SOCCER.

Anyone who gets this wrong has no business supporting The Hammers.

It reduces one's advertising budget if we all speak the same language.

Makes it even more profitable for them to sell us stuff we neither need or ever wanted.

What, you think they're doing all this just to entertain you?

Re: What words that people use annoy you?
Addressing a group of people as 'Guys', which seems to be pretty much standard practice these days.

Lush is particularly grating as well.

People (normally politicians) who start a sentence with 'Look'.
